As Southend Airport has been given the go-ahead by the government for expansion, anyone wants to see Southend Airport functioning like Stansted, or even being a hub airport for the UK one day, replacing Heathrow within 50 years? All good for the Thames Gateway Project.

Not particularly. Essex is noisy and crowded enough as it is.

London South Bank University is located between Borough Road and London Road, roughly at postcode SE1 0AA. It is within equal walking distance of Elephant & Castle, Southwark, Borough, and Lambeth North stations. The airports you mention are all between 25-35 miles from the university, with Gatwick Airport being the closest and Stansted Airport being the furthest. There isn't much difference in it though. By national rail it's easy to reach the university from any of these airports. Just pick which airport based on the best flight options.

I think we have enough airports already. The number of people travelling by air is declining and most airlines are unable to make a profit. I live in Surrey and suffer badly from air and noise pollution from

Heathrow and Gatwick.

This makes me so glad that I live hundreds of miles away from London. Looking at it reminds me of an ant hill with everything rushing around bumping into each other.

So in answer to your question as far as I'm concerned then yes it should go ahead.
