Do I need to convert dollars to British pounds or to Euros for my trip to London?

The best advice is to get your sterling pounds in travelers cheques from your bank in advance. That way you sign for them where ever you are without having to find some out of the way place to cash them or without having to check on the exchange rate. EASY!!! That is what I do whenever I return home to visit. <3

U'll have to convert it into pounds, England hasn't joined the EuroZone.

You need British pounds, England is not joining the Euros. Also look at the prices, London is very expensive.

I agree completely with 'zoser'....i changed my dollars back home before coming here....they do charge exorbitant fees for foreign exchange.....

If you're gonna spend cash than you need to use pounds (if you want to change money in the UK find a post office as they wont charge any commission!). However nearly everywhere will take visa and most debit cards.....altho beware "chip and pin" is everywhere now!

to British pounds , but my advice to u to do that in USA , as they are really charging a considerable high commission in England when u change dollars..

No. In the UK and Europe you can use your ATM card to get cash. It is cheaper than getting your dollars exchanged at a bank or airport. It's very easy and safe.

UK has not yet joined the Euro.



You can do it at airport on arrival, or change cash just about anywhere in the UK. Also, Visa and mastercard widely accepted, and plenty of ATMs
