I looking for someone to live in London. Which area is best - north, south, east or west?

I want somewhere cheap but with good links to the west end. I cant afford to live in the centre though

I'd have to say north or south. But there is no way to be sure you have to look for property within your price range. It could be miles outside London, or you sometimes can find a good deal in zones 2, 3, and 4 which will let you get into central London easily.
