The Shard is literally on top of London Bridge station. Walk outside of the station and look straight up.

London Bridge is a major train station. You can get overground trains there from many directions. London Bridge also has an underground tube station serviced by the Jubilee and Northern lines.

If the weather is nice I recommend walking along the Thames embankment from London Bridge to the London Eye. It will take you about 25 minutes but it's a great walk. There are lots of bars, restaurants and art installations along the river embankment. You will also pass an area called south bank which has a lot of street performers and free entertainment all year round.

If the weather isn't good then take the Jubliee Line westbound 2 stops from London Bridge to Waterloo station. It only takes a few minutes and the London Eye is a short walk from there. Other attractions such as Westminster Abbey are also a short walk from Waterloo station. Exit the station and walk towards the river. You will be able to see both attractions almost immediately.

London Eye: walk from Waterloo, an easy 15 minute stroll Shard: Train from Waterloo East to London Bridge, Frequent, 4 minutes, leave station then look up standing on the forecourt ****Both may need reservations****
