Hello,

My and my Girlfriend are going to go on a trip to London for her birthday, I was just wondering How long would it get from Padding ton Station to the London eye?

Would like to go to the national history museum too, so if that can be incorporated into the walk, that would be cool.. So could you suggest any routes that would have some site seeing things on the way, but also go to the london eye and go by the national history museum? And not taking too long to go from A to B. Cheers :3!

Buy yourself Zone 1 and 2 One Day Travelcards when you arrive at Paddington. They give you unlimited travel on the buses and Underground in central London for the day and cost £7

From Paddington to the London Eye either take the Underground Bakerloo Line direct to Waterloo

- takes 15 minutes or a 159 bus from Praed Street outside Paddington Station to Westminster Bridge Southside. You will recognise it because you will have just crossed the river. You will see much of the West End of London on the way - takes about 30 minutes.

The Natural History Museum is in South Kensington. From Westminster Station take the Circle or District Line westbound to South Kensington

From South Kensington to Paddington take the Circle Line

(most of the answers above are a little iffy)

Firstly if you don't already have one, buy an 'A to Z street map' of London at W.H. Smiths in Waterloo Station before starting your walk. You are absolutely right this kind of walk is the best way of seeing London. Walk One will take 30 minutes - longer if you stop to look at things along the way Walk 2 will take about 70 minutes though you may want to stop for a coffee on route or go into Hamleys which will extend it There wil be some closed streets in central London on Saturday afternoon (26th) due to a large TUC demonstration

about 30 min, take the Circle line from Paddington to Westminster then walk over Westminster bridge

Oh if you're walking it'll take about an hour

Many people from other cities are often surprised how big London is and how much time it takes to get between different areas

The underground is by far the quickest way to get around, if you do decide to walk I would take a map/iphone to make sure you don't get lost!
